Working days
Just Monday to Friday.
Counting Christmas by day of the week
Sometimes the number of days until Christmas is too abstract. Counting by day of the week makes it real. "Eight more Fridays" tells you how many more payday weekends you have. "Four more Sundays" is the four Sundays of Advent. That is why so many people search for how many Mondays until Christmas or how many Fridays until Christmas.
The grid above shows every day of the week counted from today up to Christmas Eve. Tap any day to see the full list of dates.

Why some days have one more
The counts are not all equal. The days of the week closest to today, and those before Christmas Eve's weekday, pick up an extra one. In 2026 the count starts on a Wednesday and ends on Thursday 24 December, so Wednesdays and Thursdays have one more than the rest.
Weekdays vs working days
Weekdays here means every day of the week, Monday to Sunday. If you only want Monday to Friday, use the working days until Christmas count. If you want Saturdays and Sundays together, use weekends until Christmas.
Christmas 2026 by the week
Christmas Day falls on a Friday in 2026, so Christmas week runs from Monday 21 to Sunday 27 December, with Christmas Eve on Thursday and Boxing Day on Saturday. The week before, from 14 to 20 December, is the last full working week for many people and includes Super Saturday on the 19th.
